ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — The suspect who reportedly spray-painted KKK on two houses in Richmond Heights Saturday has been arrested.
The 24 year-old man is charged with vandalism and destruction of personal property.
Richmond Heights Police Captain Douglas Schaeffler said the suspect was discovered in the area with evidence on him connecting him to the crime. He was taken in to custody, and then transported to an are hospital. Captain Schaeffler would not confirm media reports that the suspect was taken to the psychology ward of that hospital.
Families in the 7700 block of Weston Place and the other in the 1600 block of Bredell Avenue found ‘KKK’ on their homes. Seven others discovered the word ‘Obama’ defacing their cars.
No warrants have been issued.
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – It was a sunny Sunday morning when neighbors in the 7700 block of Weston Place in Richmond Heights woke to find the letters “KKK” and words “Ku Klux Klan” sprayed on some homes and vehicles in blue spray paint.
Shaking his head, a neighbor told KMOX Monday morning that it is a very integrated and welcoming neighborhood. He doesn’t believe it was just kids roaming around, looking to cause trouble.
