Food safe spray paint
My younger sister is turning 21 and I wanted to give her something fun that would match both the occasion and her personality. So I came up with the idea to make her a "diva" or "pimp" cup. So, I purchased this awesome cup from the dollar store and began. The items I used were: a cup, spray paint, black sharpie, mod podge, black and pink glitter, and rhinestones.Step Two: Use the Sharpie to write the name of the individual or to draw a design. For my cup I wrote Ann in freehand but used a self made stencil for the side stars.
If you are making a design, try to space them evenly. I coloredin the stars with the black sharpie.

Step Five: Decide where you want to add the bling. I decided to glue the rhinestones in four rings with two above the word ANN and two below it. Have fun with this! I filled it with jelly beans and pink nail polish, she loved it! Pin It

I have a metal set of hanging baskets I bought at a flea market that I want to use for fruit in my kitchen. Thing is it has some rust at the bottom I want to scrub off and then repaint the entire thing. I dont know what kind of paint is safe for food. Hand painting it will be really difficult as it is thin wire intertwined to make the baskets.
I think that you should be fine with any type of spray paint as long as you don't use anything abrasive on it and wash the fruit before eating.

I found some food containers (used for flour, sugar, etc..), but they are not the exact colors I would like. I am hoping to paint them, however I am unsure if/what spray paint is safe for food. They are painted metal that I would like to paint over. Any ideas?
Actually, if you are painting the outside of the container, then food safety is not as big an issue as long as no paint comes in contact with the inside or the sealing lip of the container or lid. If the metal is in go …, then spray with an enamel paint. Test a small spot first to make sure there is no reaction between the new and the existing paint. If there is, you will have to strip off all the old paint, apply a primer, then paint.

I spray painted a container for my dog's food. I wanted it to be cute, but I wasn't sure if the paint would be toxic. Will is seep into the food after it is dry? I haven't put the food in it yet, but I haven't found anything online saying that it wasn't safe.
Read the warnings on the spray can - if there is nothing there regarding keeping away from consuming and you are still concerned, there should be contact info to get a hold of the manufacturer ans ask them
